Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
