The country's energy systems have faced increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and faced interruptions to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a young boy was fatally injured in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, as reported by area administrators.

Russian forces has increased assaults on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 missiles targeted energy facilities, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, according to local officials.
